|UC Davis Pepper-spraying incident

U.C.Davis spent $175,000 to try to cover up the 2011 incident in which one of their cops, Lt. John Pike, pepper sprayed a group of peacefully protesting students.
They tried to downplay it at first, and had kept him on despite having gotten the university in trouble before. Linda P.B. Katehi, who also used part of the university's money to clear her own name, had the poor judgement to keep this guy employed despite his history of violence and intimidation against students especially those he referred to as "hippies" and "faggots", including multiple complaints and a couple of lost lawsuits.
There's a wikipedia article here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UC_Davis_pepper-spray_incident
And an article about their attempt to scrub it off the net can be found at my old favorite newspaper here http://www.sacbee.com/news/local/education/article71659992.html
(Also, I mentioned it at the time at http://plutherus.livejournal.com/428568.html)
Just trying to do my part to ensure that UC Davis, John Pike, and Linda Katehi are remembered together with the Pepper Spraying Incident for a good long time, as a disincentive to other police officers or organizations that hire them to commit or support these kinds of crimes in the future.
(Also, if I was UC Davis or Linda Katehi, I might be thinking about asking for my $175,000 back on the grounds that the Streisand Effect is well known and the PR group they hired should have been fully aware that they could not deliver what they'd promised.)
